Ellie is our incredibly talented Family Lawyer here at KPW Lawyers.
Ellie has grown up in the Albury Wodonga Region and was admitted to practice law in 2018. She moved to Melbourne to study her degree at Deakin University.
Ellie has a wealth of experience at Family Law practices in Melbourne as well as the Northern Territory, and is a huge asset to our practice.
In 2015 Ellie worked at the Mental Health Legal Centre in Melbourne, working with matters including Parole Officer Transfers and Victims of Crime NSW to name a few. During this year, Ellie commenced work at the Darebin Community Legal Centre as a supervisor for volunteers. In this role Ellie gained experience in including Family Law matters, Tenancy matters, Criminal Law matters, Employment Law matters, Civil matters and a variety of others.
In 2016 Ellie aided Darebin Community Legal Centre to conduct monthly Divorce Workshops, assisting client to complete the paperwork and increase their understanding of the processes involved. During this time Ellie also undertook work as a Duty Lawyer Assistant at the Heidelberg Magistrates Court in the Family Violence Division.
In 2017 Ellie was a volunteer at Aboriginal Legal Service NSW/ACT dealing with a variety of matters including Criminal, Family and Employment. In the same year, Ellie spent six weeks working full time at a First Nation’s Legal Service in Tenant Creek, Northern Territory where the focus was Criminal Law matters.
Ellie is now completing her Masters Degree in Family Law, and has found her home here at KPW Lawyers.
Ellie’s client base stretches from Albury to Wagga, Western Australia, Sydney, Young, Griffith and beyond.
It was her caring nature that turned her towards Family Law, an area that requires patience, understanding and a lot of empathy. Ellie frequently deals with children’s matters, divorce, domestic violence cases, property settlement and a range of other matters.
Ellie’s experience and knowledge is a testament to her work ethic and passion for the Family Law area, despite her limited years.
